Web TV Shows Breathes for Advertisements
Oct 3rd, 2010 by admin

Popular entertainment is the twin of advertisers so now with changing times the advertising world is busy ploughing its way to infiltrate the Internet. More so now that advertiser-produced video entertainment is the way to roll when you want your product to be known. Viewers easily discriminate and even relate to videos that has “branded content”. Broadcast and cable television is a great platform to cram advertisements into the viewer’s heads because of the wide range and availability of it but as the new dawn of advertising via the web is flourishing, new ways must be adapted. And boy are they adapting really well. Serious money and even dead serious talent is being poured to produce branded content videos.

A very good example is the rise of the Digital Broadcasting Group(DBG),  a top video ad network in the U.S., which is looking to be the Mecca for advertising. The network gets the dollars flowing by producing Web TV shows with specific advertisers featured. These Web shows are distributed to the network’s sites. In reference to Techcrunch’s interview with DBG COO Rick Kleczkowski, the following will be upcoming shows that will be all about branded content videos: ControlTV, Built Green, and Family Versus Chef.

Yes, it finally happened, the bleach blond, lace covered, stalagmite wearing self- claimed crazy girl has won the right to be called the queen of twitter, Lady Gaga has charmed 5,777,492 people to follow her in twitter. Britney Spears’ 5,721,702 followers were enough to keep the Pop princess on top. Lady Gaga has been a serious devotee to twitter since its grown popularity among the public. And through her crazy and sometimes ambiguous tweets, Gaga has won the adoration of millions. To say that the monster followers are loyal is an understatement. They not only follow in Twiter they also follow Gaga’s location in her promotional  tweets. The leather bikini girl sure knows how to work it.
To be fair, the singer also uses social networking to spread her advocacy on gay rights, and freedom for self expression. And of coarse the guilty pleasure of singing to the beat of Alejandro is addictive. Thumbs up to you, Lady Gaga.
